Thanks for visiting and I enjoy your blog ...Pablo,

Thanks for visiting and I enjoy your blog as well.

I agree with you and I pretty much said so in the post - "To be fair [to McCain, Palin, and the American public], I can't correctly identify all 200 or so countries in the world. And when I do mix up countries and leaders in class, I correct myself."

No I don't expect politicians (or anyone for that matter) to be perfect in their speech. However, I do hope that they are correct more often than they are wrong.Mike Allisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03819823480024681083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8929513019181240765.post-87586433629176857082011-02-12T21:45:00.022-05:002011-02-12T21:45:00.022-05:00Mike,
I love your blog. I try to read it daily. H...Mike,

I love your blog. I try to read it daily. However, the video you posted here erroneously confuses a slip of the tongue with ignorance. For example, as much as I dislike Palin, she obviously mistakenly said North Korea instead of South Korea. In fact, earlier in the interview she had it right. We all do this. Unless you expect politicians to be perfect in their speech. I don't.

Secondly, I am quite confident that I could compile a list of quotes from liberals where they made a mistake in their wording. Again, we ALL do this. It doesn't mean we are all ignorant.

But I do agree that Palin probably is ignorant regarding foreign affairs. We can tell when she speaks on foreign policy matters that she lacks substantive knowledge. It has nothing to do however with the North Korea mishap, though.Pablohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06622986304847436893noreply@blogger.com
