On Tuesday, US Ambassador to Guatemala Stephen McFarland told reporters that Guatemala's request for TPS is in "active consideration" in the US. The US Government is currently reviewing country conditions following the eruption of the Pacaya Volcano and the flooding from various tropical storms.However, McFarland said that he doesn't know when there will be a response by the US to Guatemala's request.
